Application-
Cement Tiles
Rooftop
cement tile sealer/primer
One coat is applied and it has two important functions.
Firstly it penetrates into and adheres to the
tile surface, ensuring the long term adhesion
of the whole coating system. Secondly a powerful
fungicide / algaecide incorporated in the sealer
sterilizes the tile surface and very importantly
is retained by the sealer to kill-off any fungi
spores hidden deep within the tile pores.

Two heavy coats are applied to ensure complete
cover and maximum durability.
An
environmentally friendly water-based coating system
Manufactured
by our own company; ROOFTOP COATINGS
PTY LTD using chemicals and raw materials supplied
by Rohm and Haas, BASF, ICI, Thor Chemicals, Henkel,
Bayer, and others accredited under the international
standards of Quality Assurance ISO 9001 and 9002.
Conforms
to Australian standards AS 3370.20 and AS 2311
for roof coatings
Long
life. Acrylic Membrane Roof Coating.
100%
Acrylic based on methyl methacrylate
as its major component with outstanding durability
and long established resistance to weathering.
Gloss
finish. Similar finish to new tiles.
Waterproofs
the tile surface against rain and weather.
Weather
Stop incorporates Rooftop Technology
Sunlight
exposure develops intercoat bond strength and
permanent flexibility for long life protection
against the effects of weather.
U.V.
light resistant. High resistance to the
degrading effect of Ultra Violet Light and Solar
radiation.
Fungus
and mold resistant. The methyl methacrylate
acrylic polymer with additional specific fungicides
and algaecides protect against growth of fungus,
lichen, and mosses makes it very difficult for
these disfiguring organisms to get a foot hold
- keeps roofs looking good longer.
Resists
dirt collection. ROOFTOP Technology develops
early water resistance in the coating. Rain then
preferentially wets dust particles helping to
flush them away.
Permanent
colours. The coating is formulated using
only long proven and established permanent colours
including iron and other oxides and lightfast
pigments. The coating finish substantially maintains
its colour and is highly resistant to colour fade
or colour change.

CERAMA
COOL
Rooftop's
heat-beating roof coating
Like
the ceramic coatings developed by NASA for its
space craft, Cerama-Cool is a ceramic based coating
designed to refract and dissipate solar radiation
and to control heat absorption of your roof.
Cerama-Cool works by controlling the heat or temperature
of the roof itself rather than trying to deal
with the heat once it is inside. We firmly believe
in the old adage; Prevention is better than cure.
The
heat controlling elements of Cerama-Cool are small
ceramic particles and selected micro crystalline
titanium dioxide which acts in combination to
refract and dissipate heat and other solar radiation.
The ceramic particles incorporated into Cerama-Cool
are resistant to temperatures as high as 800 degrees
and are highly impact resistant. These ceramic
particles were specially developed to be spherical
in shape and to be hollow with a partial vacuum
inside to create a high resistance to the transfer
of heat and other radiation. It is these special
hollow ceramic particles which result in the insulating
effects of the coating.
As
well as its heat controlling properties, Cerama-Cool
is a highly durable waterproof 100% acrylic coating
with excellent weather durability. The acrylic
used is adhesion promoted and manufactured by
Rohm and Haas. It has a long and very successful
history in the formulation of roof coatings. The
coating is of the high build membrane type and
is applied by airless spray techniques. It has
been specifically formulated as a roof coating
to give years of protection and decoration to
your roof, as well as making life cooler and more
comfortable in your living or working space below.
The
advantages of Cerama-Cool extend also to energy
cost savings in cooling and air conditioning of
homes and buildings and in the reduction in heat
stress and movement of roof materials and their
structures.
The
application of Cerama-Cool is by airless spray
at 2000 to 3000 psi by our own experienced and
approved tradesmen. The process, like all coating
applications requires correct preparation of the
roof surface. This is conducted by high pressure
water cleansing at 3000 + psi and the use of other
tools, preparations, and primers and sealers to
ensure the correct base for application of Cerama-Cool.
Two
coats are required. A Cerama-Cool base coat followed
by a Cerama-Cool finish coat.
Lighter
colours are recommended for the best heat control
advantages.
